Louis Hunter ‘Jake and Nick finally lock eyes on screen’

By in May 3, 2012 • Filed in: Interview, The Secret Cirlce

Chevron One chatted with Louis Hunter on his return to The Secret Circle.  Read full interview here.

“He is definitely back,” says Louis emphatically, echoing the theme of our previous interview, but in reverse. “In terms of how he comes back, who he is when he comes back or how long he will be back for, those are questions I don’t want to spoil. Fans will have to tune in. But I can confirm that yes he has definitely returned.”

But is it really Nick, or are we looking at something which is a little more than just Nick? Demon-possession has been a recurring theme this season and judging from his mental state in the closing moments of ‘Traitor’ there seems to be a distinct supernatural element at play.

“It’s kind of a hard thing to say if its more than Nick or less than Nick,” says Louis. “I think it’s less than Nick. He’s not 100% there. He’s not wholly controlled by whatever is inside of him but he’s being influenced by something. He’s a different version. He’s Nick 1.5!” he jokes.

There’s no denying that Nick has come back … different, and many fans want to know just how different.

“Nick wasn’t the kind of guy who wanted to use magic for every day tasks back before his demise but now he’s a little more reckless. He doesn’t mind doing certain things. We’re going to see super strength. He’s fast. He’s more aggressive. Things like that,” Louis explains.

Louis Hunter returns to The Secret Circle!

By in March 22, 2012 • Filed in: Article, The Secret Cirlce

Zap2it has exclusively confirmed that Nick (Louis Hunter), who was killed in a surprise twist in the fifth episode back in the fall, is coming back to Chance Harbor! Apparently not the same Nick that we know. Death changes people …

“We are thrilled to have Nick back, but he’s not the same person as he was before,” executive producer Andrew Miller tells us. “The Circle is stunned, but those closest to Nick, his brother Jake and girlfriend Melissa, find themselves on opposite sides as they struggle with how to deal with his unnatural return.”

I’m so happy I can’t hardly contain myself! The best news ever!!!!!!

Louis Hunter Talks With ChevronOne about Nick’s death and the possibility of coming back

By in October 18, 2011 • Filed in: Interview, The Secret Cirlce

ChevronOne has released their exclusive interview with Louis. He talks about about Nick’s death, the possibility of coming back and much more. Read full interview here.

“Is Nick really dead?” I ask, deciding to address the obvious question first.
“Well he is, yes,” says Louis. “He is very much dead at this point in time. I have a lot of fan forums and it’s been popping up as a question. ‘Is he really dead? ‘Is he going to come back?’ So yes he is really dead but,” he pauses, “there is absolutely a possibility he will come back.”

Attempting to tease out this tantalizing piece of information further, I mention an expression about science fiction TV that goes along the lines of ‘Nobody ever really dies in scifi.’ Although The Secret Circle is is not a scifi show, but a supernatural one, could the sentiment hold true here as well? Especially given that Nick was such a fan favorite?

“I’ll quote you an answer from Andrew Miller that he did in an interview at one point,” says Louis. “He said we wanted to really reveal the stakes of how dangerous this world of witchcraft is. And by killing off a main character they’ve successfully done that. So it would be a bit of a cop out of they resurrected him in a heartbeat just because the fans reacted quite quickly.

“But I think even though he is definitely and well and truly six feet under by now there is a possibility that within the next two seasons, three seasons, maybe even this season that he could come back.

“I don’t think they want to give in to the pressure of resurrecting a character just because the fans want it too quickly. They do want to create real drama and keep people in a place where they’re unsure of the safety of anyone in that world, you know?”

I ask Louis how long he was aware of the writers’ plans for Nick.

“I knew from the beginning when I signed onto the project that that was going to happen,” he answers. “I thought if I was going to do five episodes of this show, then fantastic! I hadn’t really any problem in terms of that at all.”

Louis Hunter ”That’s the great thing about [my death], it’s just like real life in that there’s no way to prepare for it. ”

By in October 16, 2011 • Filed in: Interview, The Secret Cirlce

The Insider has released their  interview with Louis. He talks about his death and gives some deets on the future of show. Read full interview here.

“We had a big sit down around the pilot and they told us that anyone could die,” actor Louis Hunter tells TheInsider.com. “We talked about the key concepts they want to convey with this, the ones that go back thousands of years: life, death, good, evil, love, lust. Things everyone deals with every day, especially teenagers, when every ounce of them is running wild.”

Knowing from the jump that Nick would perish certainly lessened the emotional fallout for Louis, although he admits, “I loved my character, he was a cool dude, but they want to make the show as real and thrilling as possible. That’s the great thing about [my death], it’s just like real life in that there’s no way to prepare for it. So remember, watch your step before crossing the road,” he laughs. “You never know when you’ll be struck by lightning or someone will pull a knife on you. Not to be paranoid, but those things are possible.”

We are still very sad about what happened last Thursday. Anyway I will continue to support Louis. I will miss seeing you in Secret Circle. Make sure to follow Lulu on Twitter.

4. … Has a wishlist of cities he would like to visit, starting with San Francisco. We asked Louis if he he had the chance to live in any city for a year where he would go, and this is what he told us.

“I’m not sure,” he laughed. “There are so many cities I want to visit but I don’t know about living you know? Oh! That’s hard.”

After some consideration, he confided “I would like to live in New York for a while. I’d love to live in New York. Because I was living in Vancouver shooting the show I really enjoyed that city. I thought it was great. There are so many cities I would love to visit. I’d like to visit San Francisco which I’m doing this weekend, I’d like to visit Montreal. I want to visit Berlin. I want to visit Paris. I haven’t even been to Paris yet, so there’s a lot of places I want to go, but I can’t quite tell you which city I’d like to live in yet.”
